Bona’s interests have led her down many career paths, but writing is her mainstay.  She attended Azusa Pacific University in California and worked in the film industry before moving to Portland, Oregon, where she landed a job with the Oregon Film & Video Office (now the Governor’s Office of Film & Television), helping market Oregon as a location to film and television productions.

After returning to Grand Rapids, Bona graduated with honors from Aquinas College with a degree in English and writing.  While working for RM+D as a copywriter, she simultaneously writes for the Aquinas Magazine and Rapid Growth, a web-based business publication.  She also serves on the Festival of the Arts PR team.
